First pet 1983: Raisin on a leash! |
Hi! I am an animal enthusiast! No, I am not some crazy lady with 50 cats and pictures of my pets as bumper stickers. But I have always had a fondness of all creatures big and small. I would love to have a big farm filled with lots of animals but ended up in Suburbia with my family surrounded with parkway trees and kids on bikes. Our family consists of me, my husband, two kids, one dog, two cats, fish and a revolving door of foster pets we keep until they find their permanent home. The idea of this blog came about after several strange encounters with people (more often than I'd like to admit) and scratched my head and thought "I can't believe this happened...that is why I prefer to be around animals--no drama! So with the suggestion from my friend, who kindly listened to the crazy people tales, I began this blog as an homage to the simplicity and happiness an animal brings into your life. In addition to prefering animals to "people drama", I also prefer cooking, gardening, reading (Jane Austen Sequels...genious!), yoga, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
